FAQ

A sinking braid pins down to the lakebed rather than looping up in the water, giving a far more natural, unhindered presentation. This makes it much harder for wary carp to detect the rig.

Yes — the Merlin is specifically noted for its toughness against snags, making it a solid choice for venues with features such as gravel bars, sunken branches, or dense weed.

Its supple nature and fast-sinking properties make it ideal for a wide range of hooklink presentations, including hair rigs, combi rigs, and bottom-bait setups across many different water types.

Not at all — the Merlin is designed to offer high knot strength despite its low diameter, so you get a discreet, fine presentation without sacrificing reliability when playing fish.

Yes, the Merlin is described as a carp-friendly proven braid, meaning its supple, soft construction is gentle on the fish during the fight and at the net.
